The U.S. Botanic Garden invites visitors to come enjoy flowers, live music, and refreshments at four special summer evening events. On the third Thursdays of each month – June 19, July 17, August 21, and September 18, 2025, the Garden will stay open until 8 p.m. for visitors to enjoy the golden hour amidst the USBG plant collection from around the world. Four musical groups will perform live music in the Conservatory Garden Court beginning at 5 pm each date:
- June 19: District Strings. A trio of classically trained musicians will play covers of pop music such as ABBA, Queen, Taylor Swift, Harry Styles, and more.
- July 17: Pine Apple. This local band will play covers and originals with powerful pop and bluesy melodies over Bossa nova and funk grooves.
- Aug. 21: Tornado Rose. An upbeat Americana and bluegrass band featuring gorgeous vocals and high-flying strings.
- Sept. 18: TrapCellist. Area native Chanel Kelly will blend classical technique with modern genres including R&B, soul, and hip-hop on acoustic cello.
In partnership with the Friends of the U.S. Botanic Garden, local restauranteur Vintage Views will have lemonade, botanical non-alcoholic mocktails, and snacks available for purchase during all four extended evenings.
Additionally, local frozen treat vendor Here’s The Scoop will have gourmet ice cream and non-dairy sorbet available for purchase.
The gift shop will stay open during the extended evenings, offering unique USBG-themed items, live plants, and other botanical items for purchase. The USBG gift shop is run by local business ReWild in collaboration with the Friends of the USBG.
Entrance to the USBG is free and tickets are not required. Learn more and plan your visit at www.USBG.gov.
