Join us on Tuesdays and Thursdays in December (and early January!) for evening hours! On December 9, 11, 16, 18, 23, 30 (2025), and January 1 (2026), the Conservatory and outdoor train display will have extended hours, staying open until 8 p.m.
In partnership with the Friends of the U.S. Botanic Garden, local vendor Vintage Views will offer hot chocolate, botanical non-alcoholic mocktails, and snacks for purchase. Additionally, local baked goods pastry chef Lillian Natalie Cake will have botanical cookies, cakes, pies, and other assorted pastries decorated with edible flowers available for purchase.

From 5-8 p.m. on December 9, enjoy live music by District Strings as you explore the Conservatory. This trio of classically trained string musicians will play a variety of holiday music and pop covers.

December 11: The Knox Engler Quartet
From 5-8 p.m. on December 11, enjoy live music by The Knox Engler Quartet as you explore the Conservatory. This jazz outfit from Washington D.C. loves to honor the jazz tradition by playing early 20th-century music from the swing and bebop eras, but also dives deeply into modern jazz.

December 16: Sweet Something Jazz
From 5-8 p.m. on December 16, enjoy live music by Sweet Something Jazz as you explore the Conservatory. Sweet Something is a DC-based cocktail jazz ensemble. Their signature sound is a harmonic blend of retro allure and contemporary sophistication—where the classics of Billie Holiday, Ella Fitzgerald, Frank Sinatra, and Nat King Cole come alive.

December 18: Luck Penny
From 5-8 p.m. on December 18, enjoy live music by Luck Penny as you explore the Conservatory. From driving jigs and reels to soulful airs, Luck Penny brings fantastic Celtic music with fiddle, flute, whistles, pipes, and guitar.

December 23: Skyline Jazz
From 5-8 p.m. on December 23, enjoy live music by Skyline Jazz as you explore the Conservatory. Skyline Jazz draws inspiration from classic jazz standards as well as contemporary interpretations, weaving together a rich tapestry of melodies, rhythms, and harmonies. Their repertoire is a curated blend of beloved classics and innovative arrangements.

December 30: Kyung LeBlanc
From 5-8 p.m. on December 30, enjoy live music by Kyung LeBlanc as you explore the Conservatory. Elegant Bridgerton-inspired pop covers to holiday favorites will be performed by a violin and guitar duo.

January 1, 2026: Josee
From 5-8 p.m. on Thursday, January 1, 2026, enjoy live music by Josee as you explore the Conservatory. Josee brings evocative soul-jazz vocals to center stage in her genre-bending, artful sound — inviting listeners into a sonic universe of alternative R&B, pop, and jazz.
