Devin loves working at the U.S. Botanic Garden, where he combines his professional communications experience with his personal passion for plants and gardens. In addition to media relations and content development, Devin also works on agricultural projects, including crop wild relatives conservation. He lends his communications expertise as part of the organizing team for the international Illegal Plant Trade Coalition through Botanic Gardens Conservation International.

Before joining the USBG, he did environmental communications for American Rivers, where he completed a number of unique communication projects including partnering with Google to map all 286 miles of the Colorado River through the Grand Canyon for Google Maps Street View.

He holds bachelor's degrees in Agricultural Communications and Spanish from Auburn University and a master's degree in Latin American Studies with a focus on International Environmental Communication from the University of Florida. Devin has been a regular visitor of the Garden for more than 20 years.
