Sometimes called swamp hibiscus as is native to swamps and marshes in Alabama, Georgia and Florida, it is a vigorous woody perennial with showy red flowers. Blooming from mid summer through fall this is a great addition to a border planting or wet area. The flowers attract butterfies and hummingbirds and deer do not eat it.
