Event Date:
Sat, Apr 07, 2018

Todd Brethauer, USBG Science Education Volunteer
Most orchids are epiphytes--plants that grow on other plants. Come learn about the unique plant adaptations, which support this lifestyle. See how modern technology has revolutionized orchid production, bringing plants to your local retailer for only a few dollars. Learn what you need to do to keep that orchid healthy in your home. The lecture will draw examples from the enormous, colorful and exotic Epidendroid subfamily of orchids from around the world.
