The U.S. Botanic Garden is the perfect setting to learn, explore, and capture stunning flower images. Learn techniques to get the best images from your camera while photographing colorful and unique flowers, including thorny desert plants and colorful tropical blossoms. This workshop offers a combination of classroom instruction and shooting sessions with the instructor. The instructor will cover close-up techniques, photographing with props, light control, and visual design for impact. The workshop includes online pre-workshop instruction, an illustrated handout, and a critique/sharing of participants' images. The afternoon session will be devoted to timesaving and enhancement techniques using Lightroom, Photoshop, and Photoshop Elements. Participants' images will be used to introduce and demonstrate techniques. Please note: Participants should have a working knowledge of their camera. Some activities are NOT applicable to point-n-shoot cameras. A materials list can be found here. Doors open at 8:45 a.m. Please bring a lunch.
