Different plants grow in a variety of predictable and measurable patterns. Understanding these patterns can develop the artistic eye and drawing skill. This course is designed for artists of all levels of experience wishing to develop their skill in recognizing mathematical and geometric patterns in both two and three dimensions to hone their observation and drawing skills. Basic-to-advanced drawing and composition skills with a variety of botanical subjects will be covered and fundamental geometric constructions and aesthetic mathematic functions will be explored.
