Map of the U.S. Botanic Garden
Leave plenty of time to stroll through our two outdoor gardens, Bartholdi Park and the National Garden
Bartholdi Park was created in 1932 and is devoted to reflect modern trends in American horticulture. Bartholdi Park is currently being redesigned to demonstrate the latest sustainable gardening practices that promote water conservation, soil health, and promote human health and well-being, too.
Our newest outdoor garden, the National Garden features a Regional Garden of mid-Atlantic native plants, an organic Rose Garden devoted to the national flower, a Butterfly Garden, and a First Ladies Water Garden. And don’t miss the spectacular view of the USBG Conservatory and the U.S. Capitol dome from the National Garden’s amphitheater!
